Your Excellency,
Allow me first to cordially greet you and wish you a sincere welcome to our country as the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of North Macedonia. I wish you a successful lead in this responsible and significant mission.
I would like to use the opportunity to express satisfaction from your appointment, as you are exceptionally well acquainted with the region and our country. Your appointment as Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of North Macedonia is another confirmation of the excellent political relations and the fruitful cooperation between the two friendly countries.
Dear Madam Ambassador,
The diplomatic relations between our two countries have been successfully developing for over than two decades. Marking the quarter of a century of diplomatic relations next year should give a further impulse for nurturing and strengthening the strategic partnership and the political dialogue between our friendly countries and deepening the cooperation in all other areas.
Allow me to use the occasion to express immense gratitude for the continued and firm support that the United States have been giving to our country since its independence. That support, especially expressed in achieving our strategic goals – full integration in the Euro-Atlantic structures and organizations is not just a proof for the firm friendship, but is an essential encouragement for successful facing of all challenges in today’s changing world.
Our countries are connected by the joint efforts and decisiveness for peacekeeping, strengthening democracy and respect of the human rights. We stand by the USA in the fight against terror. We are determined to continue to act for further promotion of the universal values we share.
Excellency,
I am deeply confident that in the period that follows, the unwavering support of the United States for completing our Euro-Atlantic objectives will continue, as our highest foreign policy priority and our lasting strategic determination. We hope that soon we will see a completion of the process of the ratification of the Accession Protocol, by which the Republic of North Macedonia will move step forward to a fully-fledged membership in NATO. That would be an additional confirmation of the efforts by the United States for a stable, secure and prosperous North Macedonia.
Having in regard your previous diplomatic experience, I am confident that you will significantly contribute to a more dynamic development of our mutual relations, in which I assure you that you will have our full support, assistance and cooperation.
I sincerely hope that during the period of your diplomatic mission we will see a deepened Macedonian-American friendship, by finding new forms for enriching the bilateral cooperation with other content, intensifying the economic relations and increasing the American investments. We are open for cooperation in other areas as well – culture, education, science and technology.
At the end, allow me to use this ceremony to extend through you my warmest regards to the highly esteemed President of the United States, H.E. Mr. Donald Trump and to wish you personally a lot of success in performing your duties.

President Pendarovski, it is a pleasure to meet you and to offer you my letter of credence. Thank you for hosting this ceremony. I am honored to represent President Trump and the American people as the United States’ Ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia.
I am especially pleased to start my tenure at this pivotal time for the relationship between our two countries. We look forward to welcoming North Macedonia as the 30th member of the NATO alliance by the end of the year. As we become allies, our relationship will grow stronger, connected by our mutual commitment to peace, security, and prosperity in this region and beyond.
As we look forward to these developments, we are working from a strong foundation and tradition of partnership. For over 25 years, we have worked together and accomplished much to advance our shared goals – to see North Macedonia fully integrated into Western institutions and fully committed to our shared values – democracy, individual liberty, and the rule of law.
Our two countries are stronger because of our cooperation. Our soldiers serve shoulder-to-shoulder on the battlefield the same way our leaders work side-by-side to advance our goals of a safe and prosperous North Macedonia and Europe. Our business leaders work together to create jobs and grow our economies. Our professors and students collaborate on ground-breaking research, and our artists exchange ideas and inspiration.
I am excited to work with you and the government and the people of North Macedonia as we develop a stronger relationship as allies. I commit to promoting stability through strong institutions and supporting your government’s efforts to fight corruption and strengthen the rule of law, to fostering prosperity through assistance and private sector partnerships, and to enhancing security through our defense partnership.
I look forward personally to experiencing the beauty and diversity of North Macedonia and to learning more about the vibrant culture, traditions, and history of your country. I will look for opportunities to share the culture of the United States and to build bridges between citizens of both our countries.
