The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, today held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, in which he expressed his deep condolences to the victims and injured in the earthquake that struck Albania early in the morning.
President Pendarovski offered support to President Meta, and the Cabinet is in constant coordination with the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, through a joint synchronized activity to provide assistance and support to the families of the victims and injured citizens of Albania.
President Pendarovski, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia, sent a letter of condolences to President Meta.
Distinguished Mr. President,
With deep sorrow I received the news of the earthquake which caused a real tragedy in the Republic of Albania and I deeply regret the loss of lives and the huge damage caused by this terrible natural disaster.
In these sad moments for you, for the citizens of your country and for the families of the victims, the injured and those left without homes, let me express deep and sincere condolences on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia and on my personal behalf.
Dear Mr. President, I strongly believe that humanity and solidarity will help alleviate the consequences of this tragedy.
Please, Mr. President, convey my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Albania.
