The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, attended today the interactive exercise for protection and rescue “Joint Response 2019”, near the administrative building of OKTA AD Skopje.
The exercise was conducted under the guidance of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue and included representatives from a dozen state institutions, public and private enterprises and organizations. The exercise was based on a scenario, dealing with open-air fires, involving industrial facilities in the area of the villages Miladinovci, Petrovec and Bunardzik – an industrial zone.
President Pendarovski was acquainted with the overall preparation, organization and implementation of the exercise, as well as the goals of its implementation. It was jointly concluded that the high level of inter-institutional coordination provides an opportunity for easier and more efficient dealing with the challenges and crisis situations.
