The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, paid a working visit today to the Intelligence Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia.
During the visit, President Pendarovski was briefed on the ongoing and planned activities in the competence of the Agency, aimed at collecting, analyzing and processing intelligence that is important for the security, defense, political, economic and other interests of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The President was informed of the contribution of the Intelligence Agency in meeting the strategic goals of North Macedonia – NATO and EU membership, with an emphasis on the Agency’s international cooperation with partner services. The inter-institutional cooperation was also discussed at the meeting with the management as an important part of the coordination of the activities of the related institutions with the Intelligence Agency.
President Pendarovski was also briefed on the activities of the Internal Reform Agency and the adoption of a new law, aimed at building a modern and efficient intelligence service, in line with NATO recommendations, criteria and support.
