The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today the President of the Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti.
The two interlocutors exchanged views on the current developments in the Republic of North Macedonia. President Pendarovski pointed to the need in the period ahead for all political actors to be responsible and direct their capacities towards fulfillment of the reform agenda aimed at starting the accession negotiations for membership with the European Union.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski said that the Republic of North Macedonia is facing a historic opportunity to prove itself as a partner and an equal part of the most important alliances in the world – the European Union and NATO. That, according to President Pendarovski, is the only path leading to the stability and prosperity of the state and the region. Therefore, President Pendarovski pointed out that all political factors in the Republic of North Macedonia should strive at reconciliation and unification over the strategic goals of the country.
The DUI President Ahmeti sent congratulations to President Pendarovski on the occasion of his assuming of office and wished him success in his work.
