The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today a delegation from the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria, who is visiting the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia.

At the meeting, President Pendarovski was informed about the current work and competencies of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as the cooperation with the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia.

President Pendarovski welcomed the partnership and cooperation between the constitutional courts of both countries, which is developing in the spirit of the Agreement on Friendship, Good Neighborhood and Cooperation between North Macedonia and Bulgaria.

The meeting, attended by the presidents of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia, Nikola Ivanovski, and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria, Boris Velchev, as well as members and advisers from the President’s Cabinet, stressed the importance of protecting constitutionality and legality as one of the fundamental principles of the European Union. President Pendarovski expressed expectation that the cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two constitutional courts will continue in the future, as an example of deepening the relations and cooperation in other spheres of mutual interest of the two countries.
