The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today the letters of credence of Zhang Zuo, newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of North Macedonia.
President Pendarovski said that the cooperation so far between the Republic of North Macedonia and the People’s Republic of China is successful, friendly, with a continuity of high-level visits and constructive political dialogue.
“I would particularly like to highlight the cooperation within the framework of the “Cooperation Process 17+1”, which provides great opportunities for expanding and deepening the cooperation. For us, besides the cooperation in the framework of the “Cooperation Process 17+1”, the bilateral economic cooperation is of utmost importance, which, to the satisfaction and mutual interest of both countries, is extremely intensive and successful, the President said at the ceremony of presenting the credentials.
President Pendarovski welcomed the important event to be held in our country in November this year – Cultural Forum for the countries of “Cooperation Process 17+1” and congratulated on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China with wishes for further prosperity and well-being of the friendly Chinese people.
Ambassador Zhang Zuo said that the traditional friendship between China and North Macedonia is deep and that China attaches great importance to developing relations with the Republic of North Macedonia.
“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, we have witnessed close high-level exchanges, solid political mutual trust, and comprehensive development of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, humanities, education, science and technology, as well as infrastructure construction, bringing tangible benefits to the people of both sides”, the Chinese Ambassador said.
President Pendarovski wished the newly appointed Ambassador success in the performance of the responsible diplomatic duty.
