The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on the bilateral defense cooperation between North Macedonia and Kosovo and reaffirmed the interest in its strengthening, promotion, and mutual support in the development of overall capabilities.
Emphasizing that North Macedonia’s NATO membership will have a positive impact on the stability and prosperity of the entire region, President Pendarovski expressed our country’s readiness to share its experiences with the Western Balkan countries whose aspirations are integration into the Alliance. In that regard, he said good neighborly relations and cooperation are a key factor in ensuring lasting stability and security in the region.
Both interlocutors stressed the importance of cooperation and exchange of experience between the two armies in the field of education and training. In this context, President Pendarovski emphasized the readiness of North Macedonia to further train cadets from Kosovo at the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” in Skopje, as well as to use our facilities and training fields for the needs of the Kosovo Security Forces.
