President Stevo Pendarovski, as part of his working visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, met today in Stockholm with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden, Ann Linde.
President Pendarovski expressed his expectation that the European Union’s enlargement policy towards the Western Balkans will continue, emphasizing that the case of North Macedonia is a test of the credibility of the process. In this context, President Pendarovski stressed that he expects Sweden to make further efforts to keep the issue of enlargement on the Union’s agenda, as well as to support the view that bilateral issues should not be an obstacle to the integration process.
In that regard, President Pendarovski thanked Minister Anne Linde for the continuous and consistent support that our country receives from Sweden in terms of European integration.
The interlocutors discussed the European perspectives of the region, as well as the bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Kingdom of Sweden.
