President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received today the Greek professor Yannis Armakolas, Director of the Southeast Europe Program at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and of the initiative “Think Nea – New Narratives for EU Integration”.
Professor Armakolas introduced the President to their research work, which is focused on the enlargement of the European Union.
Siljanovska-Davkova and Armakolas discussed possible solutions to unblock Macedonia’s European integration and the possible danger of a country from the Western Balkans being left out.
They agreed that the EU would also benefit from the full membership of all countries in the region, not only the Western Balkans.
The meeting also discussed the process of the country’s membership in the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), which will contribute to the promotion of the rule of law and the principles of efficient institutional governance.
