President Stevo Pendarovski received yesterday evening the participants of the high-level conference “Green Agenda for the Western Balkans”, organized by the Aspen Institute from Germany, held in Skopje.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski was introduced to the program and goals of the conference, aimed at offering a platform for participants from the Western Balkans, Germany, the EU, the USA, as well as international and regional organizations to discuss the potential of the green agenda for the Western Balkans.
President Pendarovski, welcoming the holding of the conference, emphasized that at a time when we were faced with an energy crisis and economic turbulence, we must not forget the green agenda. The President considered the conference to be a good opportunity to discuss and identify the main challenges and potentials of regional cooperation, as a factor for a stable and prosperous region, and the need for its constant improvement. An important aspect in that context, according to the President, is the perspective of the region’s integration into the European Union.
