President Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, sent a congratulation message to all believers of Orthodox faith in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Dear fellow citizens of Orthodox faith,
allow me to congratulate you on the great Christian holiday, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
I wish you wholeheartedly to spend the holiday dedicated to the Holy Mother of God in good health, filled with joy and happiness. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, better known among the people as the Great Mother of God, as one of several holidays dedicated to the Mother of God, undoubtedly has a long and rich tradition of joint gatherings and celebrations. At these gatherings, the food is shared, but also the good word, attention and love.
Given all the temptations we face, let us be inspired by the great holiday and remain together, united, in solidarity and caring for our beloved. Only in this way can we overcome all crises and temptations.
May the prayers to the Most Holy Mother of God warm our hearts and ennoble us with humility, spirituality and faith in the future.
