President Stevo Pendarovski received today Dr. Vesna Mojsova-Chepishevska, Director of the International Seminar on Macedonian Language, Literature and Culture at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” – Skopje.
Director Mojsova-Chepishevska informed President Pendarovski about the preparations for the 54th Summer School of the Seminar. The School is traditionally held every year in Ohrid, with the exception of last year, when, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was held virtually. This year, if the conditions allow, as Mojsova-Chepishevska pointed out, the School will be held in the second half of August with the participation of Macedonian language students from all over the world.
President Pendarovski stressed the importance of the International Seminar in the study of the Macedonian language and its affirmation in the world, through the existing lectureships and centers for the study of the Macedonian language in a dozen universities around the world.
The ongoing implementation of the activities within the manifestation “2021-Year in Honor of Blaze Koneski” was also discussed at the meeting, as well as the idea of opening a Macedonian language center at the University of Ankara.
