It is a special honor and pleasure for me to congratulate you on May 23, National day of the Vlachs, and to sincerely wish you to spend the holiday in good health and pleasant mood, sharing joy and good thoughts with your loved ones.
117 years ago, on May 23, by a decree of Sultan Abdul Hamid, the national rights of the Vlachs were recognized within the Ottoman Empire. This opened the opportunity for education in mother tongue, which is one of the pillars of the national and cultural identity of each nation. We are happy that in our common homeland, the members of the Vlach community, as well as the other ethnic communities, have all the opportunities to preserve and strengthen their linguistic and cultural identity. With their traditions, culture, folklore, the Vlachs substantially enrich our multicultural and multiethnic society.

The health, economic, social and security challenges and problems facing the whole world can only be overcome through unity, cohesion and solidarity. Let us stretch a hand and be a constant support to each other and responsibly and dedicatedly contribute to the development and progress of the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as to the well-being of each of our fellow citizens.
