The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday Epiphany, sent a congratulation message to the Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, Metropolitan of Skopje, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia and Justiniana Prima, H.H. Stefan.
Distinguished Holiness Stefan,
I have a special pleasure and honor to congratulate you personally and the members of the Holy Synod, the venerable monks and the clergy, as well as all Orthodox believers, on the great Christian holiday Epiphany and wish you good health, joy and happiness.
This year, unfortunately, we celebrate Epiphany in unusual circumstances because of the Covid-19 pandemic which threatened our lives, health, well-being, but also made us reexamine our values and beliefs. However, even without the mass gatherings by our waters, as with all other restrictions in accordance with the safety protocols, we will again witness the sacred secret of baptism. We will fill our hearts again with faith, hope and love.
In these difficult times, I wish this great holiday be our spiritual support to persevere in solidarity, patience, responsibility and care for all our fellow citizens.
Congratulations on the great Christian holiday!
God has appeared!
Stevo Pendarovski
