Respected Fellow Citizens,
Allow me, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God, to send to all Orthodox believers most cordial congratulations and sincere wishes for spending the holiday in good health and well-being, filled with love and harmony.
As one of the most important holidays dedicated to the Mother of God, the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God is celebrated with special joy in the temples and in the homes of the believers. At the mass gatherings that are traditionally organized for this holiday, the believers share the food and the joy with their beloved ones, showing care and solidarity. Unfortunately, given that we are still amid the Covid-19 pandemic which is a huge threat to our lives and our health, this year we will have to celebrate the holiday responsibly and disciplined, implementing all the rules and recommendations. I believe that the different everyday life and the changed way of practicing our religion will not disturb, but, on the contrary, will increase our faith and spirituality.
May we take every opportunity to share with our beloved ones what we have and create peace in our hearts by spreading serenity and optimism!
