On the occasion of the St. Sava holiday, President Stevo Pendarovski sent a congratulation message to the members of the Serbian community in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Respected fellow citizens of Serbian nationality,
I take this opportunity to cordially congratulate you on the National Day of the Serbs in the Republic of North Macedonia – St. Sava and wish you to spend the holiday in good health, filled with joy and happiness.
The spiritual and educational activity of St. Sava is one of the most important foundations of the Serbian national and cultural identity. His work is an integral part of the traditions, customs and cultural heritage of the members of the Serbian community in the Republic of North Macedonia, which actively contributes to the political, social and cultural life. I am also looking forward to the contribution that our citizens of Serbian nationality have in deepening the relations with the neighboring and friendly Republic of Serbia.
Dear fellow citizens,
For almost a whole year we live fighting the Covid-19 pandemic which endangers our health and well-being, but also changes our daily lives. Unfortunately, as for the other holidays, the celebration of St. Sava will be in altered circumstances. We must continue to respect the measures and be disciplined in order to protect our own health, the health of our loved ones, as well as the health of the whole community. May the feast of St. Sava be an incentive for us to persevere and remain in solidarity and responsibility, working in harmony and cohesion for the development and progress of our common homeland!
Happy 27th of January, the Day of Saint Sava!
Stevo Pendarovski
