President Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of November 5 – the World Day of the Romani Language, sent the following congratulation message to the members of the Roma community in the Republic of North Macedonia:
“The Romani language is a part of the Romani culture, which, with its specifics, is part of the mosaic of our multicultural society.
By marking November 5 – the World Day of the Romani Language, we contribute to the preservation of the mother tongue of the Roma community, whose culture and tradition enrich the overall cultural treasure of our country.
Commitments and dedication to providing conditions for greater institutional support for the study, use and preservation of the Romani language are a step forward for its further nurturing.
