President Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday Resurrection of Christ – Easter, sent a congratulation message to Dr. Kiro Stojanov, Bishop of Skopje and Eparch of Strumica and Skopje, and to all Christian believers who celebrate Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.

Let me congratulate you on the biggest Christian holiday – Easter.
I take this opportunity to wish you good health, peace, harmony and happiness. May the light of this holiday enter the hearts and homes of all believers, filling them with faith and hope for perseverance in all temptations and challenges!
For more than a year, the entire humanity has been facing the Covid-19 pandemic, which is causing fear and anxiety. Our everyday life has changed and the long period of unrest and social distancing leaves additional consequences. We should not let apathy and despair overwhelm us; we should maintain optimism and nurture spirituality. Easter is the feast of hope which celebrates life and Christ’s victory over death. I hope that this year, too, this great holiday will be an inspiration to rise above all ordeals and troubles. United, responsible and in solidarity to overcome suffering and fear and to emerge victorious in the fight against the insidious virus!
