President Stevo Pendarovski met today with the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sefik Dzaferovic, who is paying a visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
The interlocutors at the meeting assessed that the two countries have friendly bilateral relations, without open issues. Expressing readiness to further deepen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, President Pendarovski and Dzaferovic discussed the possibility of establishing a direct flight between Skopje and Sarajevo, as well as the possibility of opening a Department for studying the Bosnian Language in North Macedonia.
Moreover, President Pendarovski stressed the interest of the Republic of North Macedonia to intensify economic cooperation and increase trade with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, as pointed out at the meeting, lags behind good political relations.
At the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the European aspirations of the two countries. President Pendarovski reaffirmed our country’s support for the European aspirations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. President Pendarovski also expressed readiness to share experience regarding the NATO integration process. The interlocutors also exchanged views on the current situation in the region.
