Today, President Stevo Pendarovski received the ambassador of Hungary, László Istvan Dux, for a farewell meeting.
The meeting focused on the overall bilateral relations, the current situation in the region, cooperation within NATO, as well as the latest developments related to our European integration.
President Pendarovski welcomed the continued cooperation with Hungary, pointing out that the Republic of North Macedonia highly appreciates Hungarian support for obtaining a date for the start of accession negotiations with the European Union, as well as the readiness to share expert experiences. He pointed out that for the long-term stability and security of the region, and in the context of the new geopolitical circumstances, the unblocking of Macedonian European integration and the immediate start of accession negotiations for EU membership are extremely important.
President Pendarovski thanked Ambassador László Istvan Dux for his diplomatic engagement and commitment and his contribution to the advancement of Macedonian-Hungarian relations and wished him further success on a personal and professional level.
