President Stevo Pendarovski received today in a farewell meeting Pooja Kapur, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Sofia.
At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the development of relations between the two countries, which are characterized by mutual friendship, trust and respect. In that regard, the commitment to continue the political dialogue and overall cooperation in all areas of mutual interest was reaffirmed, especially in the economic field where there is great potential.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on the current situation in both countries in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as on the measures and activities being taken to address the health and socio-economic challenges.
The importance of the recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Health of the two countries was stressed at the meeting, as a good starting point for encouraging cooperation in the field of health.
President Pendarovski expressed gratitude for the commitment and engagement of Ambassador Kapur during the performance of the responsible diplomatic function in our country, wishing success in performing her future duty, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Denmark.
