President Stevo Pendarovski received today in a farewell meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of North Macedonia, Kristi Karelsohn.
The meeting expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations, which are continuously nurtured by the two friendly countries, affirming the interest in further intensifying mutual cooperation, with a focus on the economy and trade.
President Pendarovski said that North Macedonia attaches special importance to the development of friendly relations with the Republic of Estonia and in this context, thanked for the continuous support for the Macedonian European integration.
The interlocutors discussed the Russian aggression on Ukraine and its impact on the stability and security of the European area, as well as the impact on the economic situation on the continent. In that regard, it was emphasized that the two countries as NATO members make decisions that are in the interest of security in the Euro-Atlantic area. President Pendarovski stressed that North Macedonia provides support, within its capabilities to Ukraine. Moreover, he stressed that the country supports Ukraine’s European integration, which was recently emphasized by President Pendarovski in a letter to President Zelensky.
President Pendarovski thanked Ambassador Karelsohn for her dedicated engagement and diplomatic activities so far in building excellent relations between the two countries, wishing her further success, both personally and professionally.
