President Stevo Pendarovski, today at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEIT), addressed the presentation of eight innovative student projects within the Innovations in Smart Anything Everywhere (INNO-SAE) program.
Pointing out that the students’ involvement in this project is a confirmation that innovations are a necessity and proof of the transformative power of joint problem solving in one country, President Pendarovski said that it is everyone’s duty to enable the students’ ideas to be translated into solutions.
Dear students, current and future innovators, dear guests,
It is an honor to address, first of all, these talented young people who create outside the usual frameworks, combining their ideas with technology. These young children see the future from a completely different angle, and therefore I am convinced that only through their visions can we be a part of the digital age in which we already live.
Congratulations also to the team of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, which, through the initiative – Innovations in Smart Anything Everywhere, encourages intellectual curiosity among students, and provides them with conditions to think ahead of their time.
Your involvement in this pan-European project is confirmation that innovation is a necessity and proof of the transformative power of joint problem solving in one country. In a world burdened with challenges, our commitment to increasing the degree of digitization in society is not just a strategy on paper, it is a necessity, because digital technologies are catalysts of social change. From there, you, the students with a desire for knowledge and experimentation, will shape the world of the future where innovation is not a choice, but a way of life.
The combination of technological prowess and entrepreneurial spirit contained in this program is an aspect that should be highlighted. We are witnessing a new generation that offers solutions, but also actively strives to implement them by changing the traditional paradigms of social response to current challenges.
Another encouraging aspect is the convergence of talents from different disciplines coming together to offer solutions, which, again, is proof that student endeavors extend beyond conventional academic boundaries.
In the world, as you know, the concept of education which is limited to textbooks and theory has long been overcome. Therefore, we need such a dynamic environment in which, through the combination of resources and expertise, creativity and innovation will have their application value. I encourage all these innovators who form startups to seek financial support from the institutions, because the country can progress only by exploiting their potential.
It is our duty to enable the creative potential of you, digital pioneers, to be unleashed, to help turn your ideas into solutions because the power to change the world lies within each of you.
Don’t be afraid of the unknown, be a leader who not only adapts to change, but also leads it, because without a doubt, you have that potential within you.
Finally, I would like to express my fascination with the dedication and creativity of all the teams that are this year’s INNO-SAE program participants. May this event today be one of the harbingers that we too can make an innovative contribution to the world of technologies that is coming.
