The Wife of the President, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, attended the completion of the GGP project – a program for small grants for basic needs and human security, which is one of the pillars of the Japanese strategy for cooperation in North Macedonia.
During the event, the Director, Dr. Silvana Filipova, and the employees of the PHI Institute for Rehabilitation of Hearing, Speech and Voice – Skopje, presented the 4 donated medical devices to the Wife of the President and the Japanese Ambassador to the country, Hironori Sawada: a system for biofeedback, digital interactive smart board, VokaStim Master device, which, in the past months, was used for interventions to about 1,000 patients from all over the country.
The Wife of the President said that it is very significant that the equipment donated from Japan already makes a special contribution to the work of the Institute for Rehabilitation of Hearing, Speech and Voice, especially that modern devices are of great help in early detection of disorders, thus helping in more effective interventions for children and adults who need support.
Thanking for the Japanese help, Mrs. Gjorgievska expressed satisfaction that the cooperation between the cabinet of the President, the Institute for Rehabilitation of Hearing, Speech and Voice and the Japanese Embassy resulted in the donated medical equipment that will contribute to diagnostics and therapy in this Institution. She said that the continuous support through projects in the health sector for our country is a confirmation of the solidarity and friendship between the two countries.
