President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, as part of her participation in the Climate Change Summit (COP29) in Baku, had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban.
The meeting discussed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, both politically and economically, as well as the Macedonian aspirations for membership in the European Union.
At the meeting, it was confirmed that Hungary remains a strong supporter of the Macedonian European integration, and in that context, President Siljanovska Davkova expressed gratitude for the support that Hungary provides in several areas, including the European aspirations of our country, as well as the fact that the issue of enlargement is set high on the agenda during the current Hungarian presidency of the European Union.
At the meeting, President Siljanovska Davkova said that as a country we see no alternative for integration and full membership in the EU and expressed hope for a fair process of accession to the EU that will respect the dignity of the Macedonian citizens.
