President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Letters of Credence of Ali Reza Irvash, newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Sofia.
At the ceremony of handing over the credentials, President Pendarovski assessed that the appointment of Ambassador Irvash is a confirmation of the commitment of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the development of relations with the Republic of North Macedonia.
“I sincerely believe that our two countries have potential for cooperation in several areas and I hope that in the coming period they will be properly used”, President Pendarovski said.
Ambassador Irvash said that since the independence of the Republic of North Macedonia, the two countries have been trying to improve bilateral relations in various areas, based on mutual respect and sharing of common interests.
“The existing potentials of the two countries, which enjoy important positions in the Balkans and in the region of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East, provide a suitable ground to deepen our cooperation”, the newly appointed Iranian Ambassador said.
President Pendarovski wished Ambassador Irvash a successful performance of his responsible office.
