President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Prime Minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar, who is on an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
The meeting praised the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and it was emphasized that there is a good level of political dialogue.
The interlocutors confirmed the friendly relations between North Macedonia and Ireland, the mutual commitment to the advancement of the political dialogue, as well as the commitment to more intensive and comprehensive bilateral cooperation.
As to the European perspective of our country, President Pendarovski said that North Macedonia highly appreciates the continuous, open and loud support from Ireland to our European integration process and the help in fulfilling the European agenda, as well as the principled attitude regarding the EU expansion.
The interlocutors also discussed the current regional developments and the importance of the European perspective of the countries of the region, as a strategic and security issue.
