President Stevo Pendarovski had a brief meeting with the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, during the NATO Summit in Madrid.
The meeting focused on the bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the current developments and security challenges related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Regarding the bilateral relations, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the development of the overall relations, characterized by mutual friendship, mutual trust and strong partnership.
The President pointed out that the defence cooperation with UK is dynamic with the constant British support to our Army for building military capabilities and interoperability with NATO allies, as evidenced by the recent exercise held in Krivolak in which 2500 British troops participated.
President Pendarovski expressed gratitude for the British commitment to promoting security, stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans region.
