President Stevo Pendarovski, as part of his working visit to the Republic of Kosovo, visited the Regional Command of KFOR – West today in Pec, where he met with members of the Macedonian contingent and had a meeting with the commander of the Regional Command – West, Colonel Francesco Ferrara.
The meeting with the members of the Macedonian contingent in the KFOR mission, where 65 members of our Army are deployed, discussed their obligations and duties in the performance of tasks, as well as their current activities. President Pendarovski acknowledged the professionalism and dedication in meeting the set requirements and tasks and pointed out that they represent the honor, professionalism and morale of all members of the Macedonian Army. He said that their mission has an added value, because they serve in a country that is our neighbor and friend and share deep historical, cultural and economic ties, adding that their presence in Kosovo deepens and strengthens those relations even more. President Pendarovski wished the members of the Macedonian contingent in the KFOR mission good health and successful performance of their duties and tasks.
At the meeting with the Commander of the Regional Command – West, Colonel Francesco Ferrara, President Pendarovski was informed about the goals and overall activities of this command in support of peace and security in the Republic of Kosovo. The President expressed his support for the KFOR mission, highlighting its importance for the stability of Kosovo and the entire region and pointed out that with the participation of the 65 members, our country, as a NATO member, provides an active contribution to strengthening peace and stability in the region and beyond.
