President Stevo Pendarovski sent a congratulation message on the occasion of the commemoration of May 24, the Day of All-Slavic Educators, Ss. Cyril and Methodius.
Respected fellow citizens,
Congratulations on May 24, the Day of the All-Slavic Educators, the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius. I sincerely wish you to spend the big holiday, above all, in good health, filled with love, happiness and joy.
Laying the foundations of literacy and spirituality among the Slavic peoples, Ss. Cyril and Methodius performed a feat that secured them the status of saints in the church, but also an ineradicable place in world history, which is why they are rightly declared protectors of Europe.
Thanks to their work, we, the Macedonians, as part of the Slavic family of nations, have the opportunity and blessing to develop our culture, art, education, and science in our native language.
Even eleven centuries after their repose, the universal work of the Thessalonica brothers transcends religious, national and ideological frameworks and is an example of humanism, altruism and righteousness.
Congratulations on May 24, the Day of Ss. Cyril and Methodius.
