President Stevo Pendarovski received today Glauk Konjufca, President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, who is visiting the Republic of North Macedonia.
The meeting discussed the overall bilateral relations, with an emphasis on parliamentary cooperation, where the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the dynamics and cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Kosovo, which maintain positive and constructive relations, with open dialogue at all levels, without open issues.
The interlocutors also discussed the latest developments in Kosovo, with President Pendarovski calling for normalization of relations, which would guarantee peace, stability, security and progress, both for our neighbors and the entire region. In that context, President Pendarovski reaffirmed the position that the Republic of North Macedonia supports the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue to find a comprehensive solution, with the mediation of the EU and the USA.
At the meeting, opinions and information about the situation in the region were exchanged and it was concluded that in the context of the new geopolitical challenges caused by the war in Ukraine, the peaceful resolution of open issues in the Western Balkans should be an absolute imperative for everyone.
