President Stevo Pendarovski received today Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
At the meeting, it was assessed that the two countries are building friendly relations in the spirit of mutual understanding, and it was emphasized that there are opportunities for their advancement in several areas of mutual interest. In that direction, President Pendarovski welcomed the decision to open an embassy of Kazakhstan in Skopje.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the economic cooperation between the two countries and with the holding of the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economy in Skopje, which is of great importance for increasing trade and investment.
The meeting also discussed the war in Ukraine, where the interlocutors exchanged opinions and information on the positions of the two countries in relation to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The meeting also discussed the possibilities for establishing bilateral cooperation in other areas, and the good cooperation at multilateral level was also highlighted.
