President Stevo Pendarovski received today Philippe Donckel, non-resident Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Republic of North Macedonia. It was concluded at the meeting that the two countries cultivate friendly and partnership relations and the mutual commitment for their promotion and intensification in the political, economic and cultural spheres was emphasized.
The interlocutors exchanged views on Macedonia’s European integration, with President Pendarovski thanking for the loud and principled support of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for the European integration of North Macedonia and the Western Balkans.
Pendarovski pointed out that Luxembourg’s principle and commitment to the breakthrough of North Macedonia on the European path is really respectable. He welcomed Luxembourg’s efforts to launch more than deserved accession talks with the Union.
President Pendarovski and Ambassador Donckel also discussed Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, in the context of its impact on the security situation in Europe.
