Meeting with Fatmir Bytyqi, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs, coordination of economic departments and investments

President Stevo Pendarovski received today Fatmir Bytyqi, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs, coordination of economic departments and investments in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Deputy Prime Minister Bytyqi presented the economic priorities of the country for the next period, which should ensure accelerated and sustainable economic growth, higher living standard and quality of life of citizens, in conditions of the pandemic caused by Covid-19.

The interlocutors concluded that, as everywhere in the world, so in our country, the challenges faced by the economy and citizens are huge, which are a consequence of the socio-economic crisis of Covid-19.

Deputy Prime Minister Bytyqi pointed out that the Government’s policies for the new development economy are well dimensioned and designed to meet the real needs of the state, economy and citizens. He stressed that investments in the economy, as one of the top priorities of the Government, will ensure faster consolidation of society, as well as faster and sustainable growth and development.

At the meeting, they also talked about the budget for 2021 and the planned funds for future measures to deal with the corona crisis, in order to support the economy and the citizens of North Macedonia, as well as the economic measures of the Government to deal with the Covid- 19 crisis.
