President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Federal Minister for the European Union and the Constitution of the Republic of Austria, Karoline Edtstadler.
The meeting confirmed the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed a desire to further enhance the political relations and economic and technical cooperation, emphasizing the interest in intensifying political dialogue and exchange of high level visits.
President Pendarovski stressed that we highly appreciate the Austrian constant and loud support for our integration into the European Union, assessing that the expertise from Austria is of great importance for North Macedonia in meeting the standards of the European Union.
At the meeting, the President thanked the Austrian coordination of the donation of Pfizer vaccines, according to which our country is to receive 119,000 doses, of which 20,000 were delivered today and stressed that with this act the European Commission once again demonstrates its solidarity.
President Pendarovski also thanked for the support during the migrant crisis and the constant assistance of the Austrian police in the joint border operations on our southern border.
