Under the auspices of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the country will provide financial resources for the realization of conservation and restoration activities in the Memorial house of Gjorgija Pulevski in Galicnik, as part of the protected cultural heritage.
The Memorandum of cooperation was signed today by the Secretary General of the President’s Office, Mile Bosnjakovski, the Chinese ambassador, Zhang Suo, and the Director of the National Conservation Center, Memet Selmani. According to the Memorandum, a total of 1.474.000 Denars will be provided as a donation to the National Conservation Center – Skopje, with the aim of undertaking actions for conservation and restoration of the Memorial house of the Macedonian national revivalist Gjorgija Pulevski.
This donation from the Chinese Embassy is a confirmation of the interest in strengthening mutual cooperation, through direct support for the preservation and protection of cultural heritage in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The birthplace of Gjorgija Pulevski in Galicnik, in 1956, was turned into the “Memorial Museum of Gjorgija Pulevski” and is part of the buildings that have been declared a cultural heritage of the country.
