On the occasion of the World Hemophilia Day – April 17, President Stevo Pendarovski sent the following message:
Positive changes are only possible when there is high public awareness and institutional support.
According to the World Hemophilia Federation, 1 in 1,000 people worldwide has a blood clotting disorder. In the Republic of North Macedonia, more than 320 people live with hemophilia A and B.
Joint efforts are needed to enable everyone to have a fair access and proper treatment of this unpredictable inherited disease.
In support of people with hemophilia and their families, and in order to improve their status, we are lighting the Cabinet in red, thus joining the global campaign to raise public awareness about hemophilia.
