President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova attended the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the United States, which was held in New York.
Siljanovska-Davkova said that she hopes that in the next 30 years we will uphold the strategic partnership with the United States, because we live in turbulent times in which mutual support is necessary on a global scale.
Addressing the representatives of the Macedonian diaspora, she paid tribute to their successes and wished them to remain united and unified. The President expressed her confidence that together we can work to improve life in the homeland.
“We are indebted to you. I promise that I will do everything to intensify contacts even when we are apart”, she said, adding that she will soon form the Diaspora Council through which relations will be regulated.
The event was attended by representatives of American government institutions, Macedonian diplomats in the United States, as well as representatives of the Macedonian community.
