This weekend in Ohrid, Module IV of the 2022 School of Policies was held of the Presidential Center for Political Education, implemented in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
Daniel Brown, representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for North Macedonia, gave a welcome address at Module IV of the School.
Rainer Mayer zum Felde, retired brigadier general and representative of the Institute for Security Policy at the Christian Albrecht University in Kiel, Germany, spoke online on the “Geostrategic and security challenges for the EU and NATO in the face of the war in Ukraine”.
Dragan Sekulovski, Executive Director of the Association of Journalists of Macedonia, and prof. Dr. Jasna Bachovska Nedic, full professor at the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” at UKIM spoke on “Dealing with misinformation and propaganda at a time of war and energy crisis in Europe”.
The Minister of Defense, Slavjanka Petrovska, held a lecture on “Current security challenges and perspectives from NATO membership in time of war in Ukraine”. Prof. Dr. Marjan Gjurovski, associate professor at the Institute for Security, Defense and Peace at the Faculty of Philosophy of UKIM and Emil Dimitriev, former technical prime minister and former deputy minister of defense spoke on “The War in Ukraine – Implications on National and Regional Security”.
The communicologist and president of the Institute for Good Governance and Euro-Atlantic Perspectives, Bojan Kordalov, led the workshop on “Digitalization, Social Media and Good Governance”, while the workshop on “The changing global role of China and its implications for the Western Balkans” led by Ana Krstinovska, from ESTIMA Think Tank, took place on the last day of Module IV of the Policy School.
Zoran Necev, “Societas Civilis” Institute for Democracy, gave a lecture on the topic “Regional disputes within the EU integration process of the region”.
