President Stevo Pendarovski received today Major General Arben Kingji, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
At the meeting, the bilateral military and defense cooperation between North Macedonia and Albania was discussed, and it was concluded that it is at a satisfactory level, and interest was expressed in strengthening this cooperation, through an open and constructive dialogue.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions and information on cooperation within NATO, as two full-fledged members and neighbors, and expressed the expectation that it will continue in the future, in view of promoting and improving regional stability and security. President Pendarovski expressed expectation that North Macedonia and Albania will continue to harmonize their views in the context of cooperation in the Alliance.
President Pendarovski and Major-General Kingji pointed to the participation of the two armies in joint training activities as a successful example of cooperation and expressed hope that the cooperation between the two armies will improve in the future and reach the level of cooperation between the two countries as the cooperation in the political and economic level.
