President Stevo Pendarovski had a meeting today with representatives of the National Federation of Farmers and was introduced to the organization’s activities and commitments, as well as the challenges faced by young farmers in rural areas.
The meeting discussed the priorities of the National Federation of Farmers whose focus, in addition to agriculture, is rural development, which includes addressing the challenges faced by rural population, such as poverty and limited access to health services, education, the right and power of decision making.
The representatives of the National Federation of Farmers also informed about the activities undertaken in the direction of improving the conditions of gender equality, as well as regional connection and communication with agricultural associations and international organizations and institutions.
President Pendarovski expressed his support for the activities of the National Federation of Farmers, especially for young farmers and women, as well as their direct involvement in the development of agriculture through decision-making and active action. In that direction, the need to include young people from rural areas in the processes of creating policies for youth was highlighted at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Vaska Mojsovska, president, Biljana Petrovska Mitrevska, project manager and representatives from the young farmers of the National Federation of Farmers, a non-governmental and non-profit organization that represents farmers from all regions of the country and all agricultural subsectors.
