President Stevo Pendrovski, on the sidelines of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations, met today in New York with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz.
The meeting focused on the bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and Germany, the country’s European perspective and current developments in the region, and President Pendarovski informed about the progress of the country’s accession negotiations with the European Union.
President Pendarovski expressed his gratitude for the principled support and commitment from Germany as one of our closest allies and expressed his expectation for further strong support from the German authorities in the process of accession negotiations, pointing out that the acceleration of integration processes is in the interest of political, security and economic stability of the entire region.
