President Stevo Pendarovski met Today in Ohrid with the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, who is participating in the international conference “Prespa Forum Dialogue”.
The meeting focused on the overall bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Slovenia, which are characterized by open and friendly dialogue at all levels.
The two presidents exchanged views on the current situation related to the aspirations of the Western Balkan countries for membership in the European Union. Wishing success to the upcoming six-month Slovenian presidency of the Union, President Pendarovski expressed the expectation that it would bring progress in the integration process for the Western Balkan countries.
President Pendarovski stressed that the Republic of North Macedonia is a positive example in finding solutions to internal challenges and open issues with neighbors and pointed out that unblocking its integration path is one of the important preconditions for prosperity and stability of the country and the region.
