President Stevo Pendarowski received today in Villa Biljana in Ohrid the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and Chairman of the OSCE, Zbigniew Rau.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the overall bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Poland, and it was concluded that there is a positive development and a solid basis for further enhancement of the excellent cooperation so far.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski stressed that Poland is a sincere and principled supporter of Macedonian European integration and expressed expectation that the support will continue in the future. The two countries, as members of NATO, as stated at the meeting, are contributing to the security and stability of the Euro-Atlantic area.
President Pendarovski and Minister Rau also discussed the current situation in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. President Pendarovski stressed that North Macedonia, as a responsible NATO member, will continue to support Ukraine as much as possible.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski and Minister Rau also discussed the current activities of the Polish Presidency with the OSCE, including the situation in Ukraine, as well as the preparations for the presidency of the Republic of North Macedonia with the OSCE in 2023.
