President Stevo Pendarovski received today the letters of credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Krzysztof Grzelczyk.
Welcoming Ambassador Grzelczyk to our country, President Pendarovski reaffirmed his satisfaction with the highly developed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, which are characterized by traditional and sincere friendship, intense political dialogue and excellent trade and economic cooperation, sharing common European values of mutual understanding and respect.
“I avail myself of this beautiful occasion to express my immense gratitude for the unreserved and loud support that the Republic of Poland gives to our European integration process, which the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia highly appreciate. We have no doubts that our Polish friends will continue to unconditionally help the Republic of North Macedonia to become part of the European family, when, today, in light of the aggressive war of the Kremlin regime against Ukraine, it becomes a matter not only of economic prosperity, but also of stability and security of the entire European continent”, President Pendarovski said, pointing out that our country attaches great importance to the strong partnership relations that we nurture within the NATO alliance.
President Pendarovski expressed his conviction that a successful period lies ahead for both countries, with significant opportunities for strengthening cooperation both bilaterally and internationally.
At the ceremony of handing over the letters of credence, Ambassador Grzelczyk said that our peoples, although geographically distant, have been linked by a special friendship for many years.
“More than three decades ago North Macedonia decided to embark on the path of independence and democracy. Despite the turbulent regional and international developments through these times, your country has managed to maintain this course to this day, successfully building a multicultural society, resolving disputes and disagreements with its neighbours, and contributing to stability and development of the Western Balkans”, Ambassador Grzelczyk said.
“Regarding the process of North Macedonia’s integration with the European Union, I would like to assure you of the full support and solidarity not only of the Polish authorities, but also of the society”, Ambassador Grzelczyk said, highlighting the high support of the Poles and the positive attitude towards the expansion of the EU towards the countries of the Western Balkans.
President Pendarovski wished Ambassador Grzelczyk a successful performance of his duties.
