President Stevo Pendarovski had a video conversation today with Carmenza Jaramillo Gutierrez, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Budapest, on the occasion of presenting her credentials, which due to the Covid-19 pandemic, were sent in writing.
Congratulating on her appointment, President Pendarovski expressed confidence that the engagement of the newly appointed Colombian Ambassador will make a significant contribution to the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between the countries, which is at a satisfactory level, but with potential for further development in areas of common interest.
The President stressed the good cooperation between the two countries at multilateral level and underlined that in the coming period it is necessary to work on the bilateral legal framework, especially in the field of economy, which will benefit both countries, in order to strengthen the overall economic cooperation.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the current situation with the Covid-19, as well as on the measures taken to deal with the pandemic in both countries.
President Pendarovski stressed that the Ambassador of Colombia will have full support and wished her success in performing her responsible duty.
