The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, as part of the central ceremony in Ohrid marking August 18th – the Day of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, awarded the Order of Military Merit to the NATO Liaison Office in Skopje and the Transport Helicopter Squadron of the Air Force Brigade within the Joint Operational Command of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The NATO Liaison Office in Skopje is awarded the Order of Military Merit for the continued support and assistance to the Republic of North Macedonia in the process of accession and fulfillment of the criteria and standards for achieving full membership in NATO.
The Transport Helicopter Squadron of the Air Force Brigade within the Joint Operational Command of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia is awarded the Order of Military Merit for exceptional merit and for outstanding contribution to strengthening defense capability, safeguarding sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, as well as for successful presentation and affirmation of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia internationally.
President Pendarovski appointed Colonel Biljana
Blazeska as Adjutant to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the
Republic of North Macedonia in the Army Staff of the Republic of North
Macedonia.
Colonel Blazeska has participated in numerous international trainings and exercises as member of the Army, including her participation in the International Mission “Resolute Support” in Afghanistan from June 2018 to January 2019. She completed her specialization in command and staff duties at the Military Academy in Skopje, a training course for officers of the Army Land Forces in 2000-2001 in the second generation of women in the Army.
She has worked in the Army in the field of logistics and was actively involved in projects for development and advancement of the Army equipment, for advancement of the logistical support to the Army units in peace and at war, as well as during missions abroad.
She is awarded a medal for participation in the peacekeeping mission “Resolute Support” and the gold badge of the Army for her commitment.
