President Stevo Pendarovski received today a delegation of the Institute of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje.
The meeting, attended by Ratko Duev, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Trajan Gocevski, former Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and professors Natasha Angeloska-Galevska and Elizabeta Tomevska-Ilievska, discussed the celebration of the 75th anniversary since the establishment of the Institute.
The professors informed President Pendarovski that in the framework of the celebration of this jubilee, from 16 to 18 May 2022 in Ohrid, an international scientific conference will be organized, which will aim to affirm and promote the activity of the institute to the general academic public.
The conference titled “75 years of the Institute of Pedagogy – Educational Challenges and Perspectives” will be held under the auspices of President Pendarovski.
President Pendarovski, expressing his gratitude for the invitation to be a patron, stressed the importance of this international scientific conference, which will be attended by numerous university professors, educational experts, researchers, educators, practitioners and students from the country and a dozen other countries will mark the great jubilee – 75 years since the founding of the Institute of Pedagogy.
The meeting stressed that the conference will be a great opportunity for a retrospection of the latest developments in education policy, legislation and practice, as well as for promotion of new concepts and ideas and sharing of the results of the latest research and innovation.
The Institute of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje is the first and oldest institution for educating pedagogues, teachers and educators in our country, where the most prominent pedagogues, ministers of education, deans of faculties, directors of educational institutions, masters and doctors of pedagogical sciences have been educated.
