On the sidelines of the NATO Summit, President Stevo Pendarovski had a brief meeting with the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
President Pendarovski stressed the importance of the US support for the Macedonian European aspirations, as well as assistance in specific areas, including the promotion of democracy, the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
The meeting reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations between the United States and North Macedonia, and it was assessed that the beginning of the Strategic Dialogue this month is an important step in the development of relations between the two countries and concrete implementation of the Strategic Partnership.
Regarding the security of the European continent and the impact of the Russian invasion on Ukraine on the stability of the European continent, President Pendarovski stressed that North Macedonia is ready to share the challenges as a full-fledged NATO member. He pointed out that Sweden and Finland’s membership in NATO will contribute to strengthening security in Europe and NATO as a whole.
